Hi, welcome to Weezie's world. I'm Mary. my mom gives me weird assignments.  the one she gave me today is what animal I would be if I could be one.

the holidays are coming so you will need a good sugar cookie recipe.

so I will give you one.

Soft Sugared Sugar Cookies

2/3 c shortening
2/3 c butter, softened
1 1/2 c sugar
2 eggs
2 t vanilla
3 1/2 c flour
2 t baking powder
1 t salt
1/3 c sugar for decoration

Preheat the oven to 350.

Cream the butter, shortening, and sugar for 4-5 minutes on medium speed until it is light and fluffy.  Add the eggs and vanilla.

Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.  Whisk.  Add to the creamed mixture.  Mix until it comes together.  Roll into walnut-sized balls and roll in the sugar.  I used colored sugar crystals but regular sugar would work fine. 

Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the bottoms are lightly browned.

Remove and cool.

I think I said that I would tell you what animal I would be if I could be one.

I think I would be a camel so I could give people rides.

whats cooking Wednesday. ( a recipe fail.)
one time everyone except me Hannah and Mercy went to Peoria so Hannah was babysitting us and she was trying to do fun things with us and there we were me, Mercy, Hannah and a cake pop maker. and that turned out to be a epic fail! for two reasons because we didn't have a recipe and we didn't use non stick spray. I don't think I have any pictures of the cake pops we made.

by the way if you have something you want me to blog about I can probably do it just tell me how long and what you want it to be about.

(How I, or somebody else, ended up in the ER.)

So one very, very, very long and busy night, everyone was very tired and whiny.  Mom was cutting chicken and she got so stressed out (if you read Joyful Nonconformist's blog for thousand word Thursday you know what I'm talking about.)  She cut herself with "Stitches!" and ended up in the ER and got stitches!

This is Stitches!

Today's tip :  Turn bread upside down and cut it on the soft side!
This keeps the bread from being squished and makes it easier to cut.

Could anyone tell me why I have an old empty yogurt cup and a sippy cup in my room? Maybe the sippy cup is from my niece Sammi when she slept in there, but I don't know why the empty yogurt cup is there.

Yesterday I told you that I have 9 siblings.

What I'm really exited for is Christmas because I love going to the Stoney Creek Inn! I love when I walk in and Josie jumps up on one of the beds! She looks sooooooooooo cute all stretched out.

Probably most of you from my church reading this know that for the last few weeks I have been having tummy trouble. A few days ago it stopped hurting, and then I had some ice cream, and then a while later it started hurting really bad, so my mom thinks I'm lactose intolerant.  So I'm not going to have any dairy for the next couple of days, and on Fantasy Friday I will tell you if it has hurt at all in the last three days.    

Just in case you were wondering, I will keep blogging even when the month of blog-days is over! And even on Christmas and Christmas Eve!

Welcome to Weezie's World!

Hi, I'm Mary. Welcome to Weezie's World I'm Mary  This is my first blog, so let me tell you a little bit about myself.  I'm the eighth child in a family of ten, and I'm eight! And I'm doing the Month of Blog-Days with Missy Dutton Bennett (my mom).  So my blast from the past is every Christmas we go to the Stoney Creek Inn, and before we leave we always have cinnamon rolls. Two years ago, I got a stuffed llama and a shirt that said "I love llamas" and had a picture of a llama with its babies.  

When we go, we bring our dog, Josie,
so one time I woke up and she was lying on me!

Last Christmas I got a cake pop maker, and this year when we went to the Stoney Creek Inn, I woke up and Josie was on my little sister Mercy (nicknamed Peewee), and then I laughed so hard I woke her up!

What? I couldn't help it!
